About Dr. Ann Steiner, Keynote and Workshop Presenter

Ann Steiner, Ph.D., MFT, is a licensed marriage family therapist who has professional and personal experience with chronic physical illness. This makes her a dynamic and powerful speaker invited to give keynote addresses and other talks throughout the US and internationally for medical and mental health organizations, consumer groups and other illness-related organizations. 

Her professional career spans twenty-six years of supervising and consulting with therapists, illness-related organizations and self-help groups as well as a private practice with individuals and groups in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Dr. Steiner has authored many articles published in professional journals and books. In addition:

  • She was featured in an inspirational photo-essay book about women who have dealt with major obstacles, Believing in Ourselves: A Celebration of Women, Andrews McMeel, 2002.
  • She is currently writing a self-help book, the companion text for her audio CD, The Rollercoaster of Chronic illness: How to Add Joy to the Ride.
